Funders
Craftsbury Trails relies on volunteers - local residents who recreate and want to expand opportunities for their families, friends and neighbors and help grow the town’s outdoor recreation economy.
Both Sterling College and Craftsbury Outdoor Center expert staff have donated numerous hours of their time to this effort. Craftsbury businesses and farms including the Genny, C-Village Store and Pete’s Greens have voiced strong support and are always ready to assist if need be.
Craftsbury Trails is benefiting from two Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economy Council (VOREC) grants - to the town in 2019 and to Sterling College in 2022. The latter is for a hiking center on the campus that will host information, rest rooms and other services for trail users. In addition, in 2021, the town received a town Municipal Planning grant that will support trail planning in Craftsbury Village.
